Located on beautiful, historic, St. Charles Avenue, the Chef's Table Restaurant offers a unique dinning experience in a romantic bistro setting featuring New Orleans and International Cuisine. Diners may view passing streetcars through a candlelit iron sculpture that adorns the windows in the main dining room. The open air feeling of the garden room and its elegant surroundings make the Chef's Table ideal for a Leisure meal or special occasion at a price that guests will find affordable. In addition to the restaurant, which included an open exhibition kitchen, the facility showcases an inviting cozy piano bar, a specialty foods deli, serving gourmet prepared foods to go, items from the on-site bakery and a unique culinary shoppe offering cookbooks, herbs, spices, cutlery, clothing and more. The menu reflects a diversity of culinary talent. Under the guidance and creativity of Chef Lonnie Varisco and Bob Koehl, the restaurant has established quite a name for itself. Together they especially enjoy sharing their expertise with the fine staff, and it shows. Street View

A sixty-five feet iron sculpture adorns the entire front of the restaurant and culminates across the front of the open exhibition kitchen. The sculpture design is wandering grape vines in a antiques bronze finish complete with antiqued green leaves enveloping dainty cut crystal candlelit vases (120 in all). The sculpture starts at the floor whisply flowing up and across the huge open windows, providing just enough of a separation to allow diners the choice of being part of the oak tree lined St. Charles Avenue or secluded for those intimate moments. The iron sculpture is reminiscent of wrought iron works seen throughout New Orleans typically used on balconies or garden pavilions.

Piano Bar

Unwind in style and elegance, from rich full-bodied walls done in pull-off technique with persimmon, red and copper, to the bronze crystallized windows. The bar itself is done in an antiqued copper, trimmed in persimmon stained wood, accented by terra cotta wine racks and viewed by ceiling and wall mirrors. Fiber optic lighting is used to enhance the intimacy, yet create a lively setting for a casual drink, dessert or appetizer. The bar is down lit front and rear and the ceiling has an imported Italian crystal starburst with a pulsating twinkle. The addition of a color wheel rotates colors in a subtle stimulating manner.

Garden Room

Highlighted by copper striade walls and antiqued stained and scored floors, the museum quality 250 year old imported Italian urns accent and add an air of sophistication to this romantic dining room. An open exhibition kitchen heightens the culinary senses and excites the palate.

Starlight Room

The dining room is transformed into a romantic starlit dinning experience. Fiber optic cable (60 in all) culminates in an imported Italian crystal of varying sizes and lengths. The effect is starburst in different sizes and intensities. To add to the effect a pulsating twinkle wheel gently blinks the star system above.

Terrace Room
SEATING CAPACITY: 40 RECEPTION CAPACITY: 75

Overlooking the beautiful landscaped pool deck the primary function is for private parties, cooking class lectures and demonstrations. Views of a gothic church and the Eiffel Tower may be seen through the lush landscape pool area.
